Mosquito Control and Spraying

Mosquito Control and Spraying

Stafford makes an effort to control the adult mosquito population by spraying. The Street Department’s truck sprays the entire City weekly, from around May 1 until October 1 as needed. Spraying begins at approximately 9 p.m. and ends after midnight when the mosquito population is the heaviest. In addition to the spraying application, the City treats standing water in the right-of-way and storm sewers with special tablets that kill the mosquito larvae. For additional information concerning mosquito control, call the Street Department at 281-261-3922.
