Virginia Rosas has lived in Stafford 33 years. She and husband, Antonio, have two children, Rebecca and Julian. She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science from the University of St. Thomas and an Associate of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice from Houston Community College and is a Commissioned Texas Peace Officer with a Master Peace Officer Certification. Councilwoman Rosas is currently employed by Fort Bend County Justice of the Peace Precinct #1-2 as the Court Coordinator, has a Master Certification from the Texas Justice Court Training Center, and is a Reserve Deputy with Fort Bend County Constable Precinct #3.

Councilwoman Rosas has been active in leadership and community service serving on the Planning & Zoning Commission from 2006-2015 and the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee, as Election Alternate Judge and Clerk, and as City Wide Pride Cleanup volunteer. She also served as SMSD Board Trustee from 2009-2015, as Participant on the Stafford Strategic Vision & Task Force which led to the passage of the $49.9 Million School Bond Referendum, and is currently a member of the SMSD Education Foundation.
