Meet our Team: Crime Victim's Liaison

We'd like to introduce you to our Crime Victim's Liaison, Kathy Kirkley, who provides an array of services to those who have been a victim of crime. 

The goal of the Victim Assistance Program is to assist victims of crime, protect and advocate the rights of victims, provide necessary information, and prevent further victimization.Crime Victims who make a police report are subsequently contacted by phone, mail or in person. The liaison informs victims about police procedures, community resources, and available programs that will assist victims during the aftermath of a crime. The liaison is all on call to respond to after-hour emergencies, and to provide assistance. 

What can a Victim Liaison do for you?

  • Educate victims about their rights, the Victim Compensation Board and the judicial system 
  • Comfort and help victims 
  • Serve as a go-between victims and law enforcement 
  • Make referrals to appropriate agencies according to needs.
