Alice Chen

 


Alice Chen began her educational journey with a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Soochow University in Taiwan, followed by an MBA in finance from Rutgers University on a full scholarship. 

She founded and managed a successful commercial property management company before becoming the agency director at a financial network. Alice holds several credentials, including CPA, LUTCF, and securities licenses. 

She’s been an active volunteer in the community for over 35 years, serving as board chair for the Asian Chamber of Commerce and as a community liaison for Congressman Al Green for 12 years. She also served as a TV show host for a local Chinese TV station for many years. In 2019, she made history as the first Asian American woman elected to the Stafford City Council and has received numerous awards, including a lifetime achievement award from the US President in 2023. 

Alice has raised $250,000 in donations to establish the Kelsey-Seybold fellow program scholarship for Stafford students pursuing a health care career. She lives in Stafford with her husband, Dr. Chen, and raised their two children, who both serve as medical doctors. She is committed to continuing her hard work for the city she loves to improve the quality of life for its residents.
