Education: 

Alice Chen's educational journey began with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Soochow University in Taiwan. Her pursuit of academic excellence led her to Rutgers University, where she earned a Master of Business Administration degree in Finance on a full scholarship.
 
Entrepreneurial Experience: 

Fueled by an entrepreneurial spirit, Alice built and managed a successful commercial property management company for 12 years. Drawing on her extensive experience as a business owner, she actively supports local small businesses in identifying and achieving their financial goals. Alice's foray into financial services commenced in 2000 with Prudential, followed by a stint at MetLife where she rose to a management position in 2005. Seeking to enhance the array of products and services for her clients, she later became the Agency Director at AIG Financial Network. Alice currently holds Series 7, 24, and 66 securities registrations, along with Texas Life, Health, Accident, and Property and Casualty insurance licenses. In addition, she has earned CPA and LUTCF designations and is a proud member of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors and the Houston CPA Society. Her dedication has also earned her membership in the prestigious Million Dollar Round Table.
 
Community Leadership: 

Alice has been an active contributor to the Asian community, serving on various boards, including a tenure as the board chair for the Asian Chamber of Commerce. Since 2007, she has been a dedicated community liaison for Congressman Al Green and played a crucial role on the foundation board for Houston Community College. As a host on Channel 55.5 ITV, Houston's sole Chinese television channel, Alice has amplified her community outreach efforts. In 2019, Alice made history by becoming the first Asian American woman elected to serve on the City Council for the City of Stafford. Since then, she has wholehearted dedicated to city government.

Philanthropy and Pandemic Relief Efforts: 

Alice has exemplified her dedication to community well-being by actively raising funds for scholarships, playgrounds, and leading pandemic relief efforts. Notably, she raised $250,000 in donations to establish the Kelsey-Seybold Fellow Program Scholarship for Stafford students pursuing a healthcare career.
 
Personal: 

Alice and her husband share the joy of raising two adult children, both of whom have chosen the path of medical professions, contributing to the well-being of the community as medical doctors.
